SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start
Location: SEN School
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
A mixed primary and secondary SEN School are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and inclusive team from September 2025.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individual students or small groups with additional learning needs
Assist in the implementation of educational health care plans
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Promote students’ independence and social development
Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education or care settings)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-related training) are desirable
