Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support (Year 2). Location: Lewisham, London. Start Date: ASAP. Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent. Hours: Term-time only.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Implement tailored strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Support pupils' emotional regulation, resilience, and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver personalised learning.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEMH needs and/or challenging behaviour (essential).
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Full-time availability (term-time only).
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
