Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Salisbury area. You will work closely with teachers to support students with SEN and help deliver engaging lessons, fostering an inclusive learning environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with behaviour management, and adapt learning resources. GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable, and experience in education is advantageous. Long-term, full-time with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational setting is advantageous.
• GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant or Education qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students.
• Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting behaviour management where required.
• Preparing and adapting learning resources.
• Monitoring and contributing to student progress.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
