Job summary

River Beach Primary School in West Sussex invites applications for a Teaching Assistant within our SEN (Lighthouse) department. This post is 30 hours per week, term time only plus 2 inset days, with a permanent contract.

You will support pupils with special educational needs, work closely with teaching staff and contribute to an inclusive, caring learning environment. Salary is pro rata and scales with hours.

Qualifications

• Ideally you are already a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children in an educational setting and/or have other experience in working with children with special educational needs and are looking to progress your career in to education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in the Lighthouse department.
• Assist teachers in managing classroom activities.
• Promote learning, welfare and safeguarding.

About Us

River Beach is a large Primary School consisting of 3 forms of entry and an average of 670 children on roll, plus our wonderful Nursery!

Salary: £25,583 to £25,989p.a. pro rata (actual starting salary £17,631p.a)

What You Need to Succeed

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, positive, dedicated, caring, emotionally
intelligent team player to join our friendly, supportive and committed team as a Teaching Assistant within our SEN (Lighthouse) department.

Ideally you are already a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children in an educational setting and/or have other experience in working with children with special educational needs and are looking to progress your career in to education.
