Are you passionate about working with children within a primary school who have Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working closely with children who require extra support in primary school? Perhaps you are a recent graduate looking to help support children in mainstream primary schools with Special Educational Needs?

Are you available full-time from April 2025?

A large mainstream primary school located in Walthamstow, London is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from April 2025 on a full-time & permanent contract to work alongside children with special educational needs.

This primary school is based within walking distance of two local tube stations in Waltham Forest, London and is very accessible via bus and car.

For these SEN Teaching Assistant positions, the school is seeking 2 SEN Teaching Assistants who either have experience working with children with SEN or are recent graduates in Education, Psychology, Criminology, or an SEN-related degree who want to work with special educational needs.

The students in this mainstream primary school have a variety of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour, or learning difficulties. If you have experience working 1-2-1 with SEN or have a passion and desire to support children with additional needs, then these could be the roles for you.

These 2 Teaching Assistant positions are within EYFS, KS1, or KS2, so depending on your experience and preference, please get in touch to discuss the roles available at this school.

You will be supporting your dedicated child in the classroom, helping the class teacher. Your main role will be to build a rapport with your allocated child and help them feel confident in and out of the classroom, ensuring they receive the best possible education.
