Overview

SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Redbridge, London. Full time & permanent contract. Available from November 2025 or sooner. Starting salary between 21,000 and 28,000 per annum. Excellent support, education and training available.

The role is based at a large mainstream primary school in Redbridge, within walking distance of two local tube stations and accessible by bus or car.

Responsibilities
  • Support a dedicated child in the classroom and work with the class teacher to deliver high-quality education.
  • Build rapport with the allocated pupil to help them feel confident in and out of the classroom.
  • Provide 1-to-1 or targeted SEN support as needed, depending on your experience and the school’s requirements.
  • Assist across KS1, KS2 or EYFS as appropriate to your experience and the school’s needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) such as ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour or other learning difficulties is ideal.
  • Recent graduates in Education or Psychology/Criminology or an SEN-related degree who want to work with children with SEN are encouraged to apply.
  • Open to roles in EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on experience and preference.
