Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Monmouth is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners from September 2025. You will work 1:1 with pupils, assist in small groups, and help deliver lessons while ensuring pupil safety and welfare in a calm, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in Primary Schools.
• Experience of inclusive classroom practice.
• Understanding/awareness of supporting SEND requirements.
• Experience using a range of strategies, both with groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Desirable: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out professional duties, provide group and 1:1 support.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils.
• Deliver small group work and reading support.
• Support forest school activities and lessons.
• Assist class teacher in delivering lessons.
