GSL Education SEN Teaching Assistant Positions

GSL Education is currently looking to appoint experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for our client schools in Luton. These positions are available for immediate start. We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with experience working with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, or in care settings.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of SEN support experience in a school, childcare, or care setting;
• Talented, dedicated, and highly motivated educator;
• Ability to support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum effectively;
• High levels of care, concern, and ambition for children;
• Relevant skills and experience with diverse student communities, including learners with ASC and SEMH;
• Positive team player with a good sense of humor;
• Commitment to raising attainment and accelerating progress;
• Experience supporting SEN students on a 1:1 and small group basis;
• Experience in assessing, evaluating, and reporting on pupil progress.

Applicant Requirements

• Energetic, patient, with strong classroom management skills;
• Right to work in the UK;
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application through GSL Education;
• Two professional school-based references.
