Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work across Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil, supporting children with diverse additional learning needs.

Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, with a starting pay of £92.63 per day and a mix of full-time and part-time opportunities. • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Patience, resilience and nurturing disposition are important.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist pupils in accessing learning and achieving individual targets.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
