Start Date: January 2026

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Contract: Term-time

Location: Plymouth and surrounding areas

Requirements: Must hold a full driving licence and have business car insurance

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role involves working closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, ensuring they receive the tailored support required to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Travel between settings when required (driving and business insurance essential).
About You
  • Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable in your approach.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Must be able to drive and hold up-to-date business car insurance.
  • Reliable, committed, and available for a January 2026 start.
