Salary: £83.33 £89 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

At GSL Education Kent, we re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate and imaginative SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) in Tonbridge perfect for individuals with a background in drama, dance, music, or theatre who are eager to support children with additional needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, through creative and structured activities.
  • Using performing arts techniques to aid communication, emotional regulation, and confidence-building.
  • Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Creating a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver a well-rounded support system.

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) role, you will:

  • Have a background in Performing Arts (e.g., drama, dance, music) or a related creative field.
  • Be passionate about supporting children with additional and complex needs.
  • Bring creativity, empathy, and a calm, encouraging approach to every day.
  • Be adaptable and able to follow guidance while using your initiative.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
