SEN Teaching Assistant – Penzance & Surrounding Areas

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience in a classroom or care setting? Join our dedicated team at Teaching Personnel and make a real difference in the lives of young learners across Cornwall.

Location: Penzance and surrounding areas
Availability: Full-time
Settings: Specialist provisions and mainstream schools

The Role:
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive individuals to work as SEN Teaching Assistants in a variety of educational settings across Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with experience in care or classroom environments who are seeking meaningful work supporting children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH

Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities

Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

Building strong, nurturing relationships with students and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience in a school, care, or support setting

A strong understanding of SEN behaviours and how to respond effectively

Full-time availability and flexibility to work across multiple schools in the Penzance area
