Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in the Louth (LN11) area to support students with diverse needs, helping them access learning and participate fully. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher, implement IEPs where needed, adapt materials, and collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals to track progress and promote confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, fostering their learning and development.
• Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting materials to accommodate various learning styles.
• Create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, promoting confidence and independence among students.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's progress.
