Job summary

St Hilary School is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant with SEN Support to join our committed team in supporting pupils with diverse needs. You will collaborate with class teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to deliver tailored support so pupils can access learning, develop independence and progress academically and socially.

The role includes one-to-one and small group support, implementing individual plans, and promoting inclusion and positive behaviour within a nurturing

Qualifications

• Has experience of working with children with SEN, or a willingness to develop skills in this area.
• Loves supporting children and helping them access learning.
• Ability to work closely with class teachers, SENDCo and other professionals.
• Committed to helping all children achieve success and develop confidence.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with identified SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist with implementing individual support plans and targeted interventions.
• Promote inclusion and positive behaviour through nurturing, consistent support.
• Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
• Work with staff, parents and external agencies to meet pupils' needs.
• Support children's emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
