Job summary

Teaching Personnel Birmingham is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Bromsgrove (B60) to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2026.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, adapting activities, and working with the SENDCo to implement personalised plans. Salary £95-£110 per day PAYE, with opportunities for ongoing support and development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting learners.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential with suitable experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
• Work with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised plans.
• Encourage pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
• Promote independence with appropriate guidance and reassurance.
• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils inside and outside of the classroom when required.
