Job summary

Aspire People in Derby is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in local schools, supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential in a caring learning environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs, promote positive behaviour, and help with classroom activities while maintaining a patient, resilient approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Aspire People).
