If so, this SEN Teaching Assistant could be perfect for you!
You will be working as an SEN Teaching Assistant at a Special Needs School in Melksham, supporting primary-age children with a diverse range of needs. The school caters for children with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities. Many of the students require 1-2-1 support to help them access learning in a way that suits their unique needs.
You will support a small class of 8 to 10 students, working alongside the class teacher and another teaching assistant to create a fun and exciting learning environment. The school has a big focus on practical learning and life skills, so your day will involve fun, interactive activities such as cooking, outdoor education, animal therapy, and sensory play! You will also assist with social skills development and emotional regulation techniques to help students build confidence and independence.
The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with a kind and caring nature, and a non-judgemental approach in the classroom.
