Job summary

Prospero Teaching is working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in WF9, Wakefield, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs and SEMH. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting interventions, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupil progress.

Contract is full-time and long-term with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

SEN Teaching Assistant (Mainstream Primary)

Location: WF9, Wakefield
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Rate: 90 - 110 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role
