Job summary

The Valley CP School in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant level 2 with SEN to support children across Nursery to KS2. The role is fixed term until 31 August with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will contribute to a caring environment, support individual pupils, help implement behaviour and learning strategies, and work as part of a supportive team in a busy primary school.

Qualifications

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Experience and or qualifications within the area of SEND is essential.
• Team teach is desirable.
• Confidence in implementing strategies to support the child’s behaviour, learning and development.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• Be hard working and able to use your own initiative.
• The ability to enable all children, as individuals, to thrive in your care.
• A knowledge of assessing pupils with SEND.
• Able to set clear boundaries and have experience of a range of behaviour management strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will be required to work across the school (Nursery-KS2).
