Job summary

INDELSEC is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a mainstream secondary school in Leatherhead, Surrey. The role involves working with the SENCo and teaching staff, adapting activities, and providing one-to-one support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least Level 2 TA qualification and experience with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, plus strong communication skills and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
