Job description

Academics are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant and inclusive school located in Lambeth. The school offers a well-structured curriculum from early years to Year 6. We are looking for a passionate, patient, and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant who will play a crucial role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring they have the best possible learning experience.

Position Details:
  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Lambeth
  • Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
  • Daily Rate: £90-£110 (Choice of Umbrella or PAYE)
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to track student progress and develop strategies to support learning.
  2. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  3. Support the social and emotional development of students with SEN, helping them build confidence and independence.
  4. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with various SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
  5. Assist in delivering tailored learning plans to meet students' individual needs.
  6. Encourage and promote positive behaviour and attitudes within the school community.
Candidate Requirements:

Applications are welcomed from graduates with experience working with children with SEN in paid or voluntary settings, or experienced teaching assistants with a degree or Level 3 childcare qualification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
