SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Nuneaton (CV10)
Pay: 450- 480 per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September

Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of primary-aged children?
We're seeking an adaptable and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Nuneaton (CV10). This is a full-time role supporting pupils across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, so experience with one or both curriculums is essential.

About the Role:

You'll be working alongside class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome. This is a and varied role that requires flexibility, empathy and strong behaviour management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
  • Support SEN pupils within the classroom across different year groups, depending on where support is needed
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom
  • Track and report pupil progress to the SENCO

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome)
  • Knowledge of the KS1 and/or KS2 national curriculum
  • Calm, nurturing and adaptable approach to support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
