Salary: £85 £95 per day (dependent on experience)

The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Halewood Academy to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting resources.
  • Encourage the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
  • Support with behaviour management strategies where required.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment in line with school values.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other learning difficulties).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
