Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have experience working with SEN children and want to make a meaningful impact on their educational journey?

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team working in several vibrant schools in South Liverpool, supporting students in both 121 and Small Class roles.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child's needs are met.
  • Support students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties.
  • Help create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment to enable all children to thrive.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting (essential).
  • A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to individual learning styles and needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
