SEN Teaching Assistant

£88 - £110 per day

Vision for Education is working in close partnership with a large primary school in Ashford, currently recruiting for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine desire to support pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to provide one-to-one or small group support, adapt learning materials, and promote engagement and progress for children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with a range of SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
• Assist in developing and adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (in school or alternative settings).
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential.
