Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, West London
Pay: 90- 125 per day (depending on experience)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, full academic year
Transport Links: Located within walking distance of Hammersmith and Barons Court stations (Piccadilly, District, and Hammersmith & City lines). Easy access by bus from Fulham, Shepherd's Bush, and Kensington. Limited local parking available.
Providing one-to-one support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language challenges
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
Supporting learning both in class and through targeted small group sessions
Helping pupils with emotional regulation, focus, and social interactions
Promoting independence and confidence in the classroom
Communicating progress to staff and parents where appropriate
A strong inclusion ethos - SEN is integrated into every aspect of school life
Experienced and proactive SENCO who supports assistants with weekly coaching
Access to speech and language therapists and external specialists on-site
Pupils are engaged, polite, and benefit from consistent routines and strong boundaries
A culture that values support staff - you'll be included in training, planning, and team decisions
The school has helped many previous TAs progress into educational psychology, speech therapy, and teacher training routes
Someone with previous experience supporting children with SEN (in or outside of school)
A calm, patient individual with excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Able to commit full-time from September for the entire academic year
A background in education, youth work, childcare, or psychology is advantageous
Graduates and non-graduates welcome - attitude and commitment matter most
