SEN Teaching Assistant ASAP/September

Location: Ealing

Full-time, 5 days per week

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Are you a caring, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role to start ASAP? If so, we want to hear from you.

Teach Plus is currently working with a primary school seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS2 with Autism.

The role is a one-to-one position, 5 days per week, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

The school is a popular, community-oriented, 2-form entry primary school located in Hanwell, Ealing. It has recently undergone refurbishment, featuring a new building with modern facilities and ample outdoor space for learning and play. The school's leadership maintains high-quality education standards and fosters a friendly, welcoming environment. Pupils are enthusiastic about coming to school, and they consistently achieve good progress.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Implementing activity plans and intervention sessions provided by the class teacher
  • Supporting the child's learning needs
  • Creating a warm and nurturing environment to ensure the child's safety and support
Ideal candidate profile:
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Experience working with children with Autism is preferred
  • Ability to build rapport and respond to individual needs
  • Ability to follow directions from the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapists
