Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant Bromley (BR6) London 105- 115 per day Long Term Role Starting ASAP

The Opportunity:

  • Support students in a special education needs school. Allowing them to achieve academic progress across all subjects
  • Well-resourced specialist school with a strong inclusion team
  • Collaborative role working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff
  • Long-term career development opportunities
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, paid up to 115 per day, term time only
  • Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the SENCO by helping to plan and deliver effective strategies for students who need extra help.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, particularly those who have special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and focused learning environment.
  • Assist students with staying on task, understanding lesson materials, and completing coursework.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
  • Experience helping in secondary schools or working with students who need extra support - Special Educational Needs.
  • A kind, patient, and flexible attitude when working with young people.
  • Great at communicating and working well with teachers, students, and families.
  • Someone who can motivate and support students, assisting in creating a positive and inspiring classroom.
  • Really cares about keeping students safe and supporting their well-being.
