Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 and Year 2 students in a specialised school environment in Lichfield. This role suits recent graduates and seasoned individuals committed to inclusive learning.

You will work closely with the teacher and multidisciplinary team to implement tailored lesson plans, monitor progress, and foster a positive, safe classroom culture for all pupils.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated classroom support for Year 1 and Year 2 students with SEN.
• Utilise behavior management strategies to create a calm learning atmosphere.
• Apply de-escalation techniques to support students in managing emotions.
• Assist lead teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans for each pupil.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to track progress and support school culture.
• Foster a safe, engaging environment where every child feels valued.
