Harris Primary Academy Orpington is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support individuals and groups, including those with SEN. The successful candidate will be involved in first aid related matters and have a basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.

The actual salary for this role will be £24,748.88 - £25,102.01 (37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year). This position offers opportunities for professional development within the Harris Federation and a supportive team environment in a busy

Qualifications

• Qualification to degree level or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Experience with young people in education or training environments.
• Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
• Ability to manage own workload and work with a range of stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Supervising and supporting identified children, in 1:1, group or whole class situations.
• Assisting in development of resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.
• Providing detailed feedback to teachers on progress and needs.
• Leading small group sessions and interventions.
• Attending to children's personal needs including welfare matters.
• Supporting with behaviour management and a positive classroom environment.
• Undertaking learning activities and adapting to achieve goals.
• Supervising children during break times and maintaining relationships with parents.
