Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support and help pupils achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities include one-to-one and small group support, assisting academic, social and emotional development, implementing education and behaviour plans, promoting independence, and recording progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN settings or supporting children with additional needs.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for travel between settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and resilient nature.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support.
• Assisting pupils with academic, social and emotional development.
• Implementing individual education and behaviour support plans.
• Supporting pupils with personal care where required.
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Building relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
