Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Salary: £18,355 - £19,280 Per Annum Including An Allowance For Holiday Pay (Pro Rata) (£24,404 - £25,183 per annum FTE)

Hours: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Plus 1 Week (32.5 Hours Per Week, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 15:30)

Our clients are a growing primary school, established in September 2019, situated on the new White House Farm Estate in Sprowston, Norwich. Their modern school building and exceptional grounds include two playgrounds, a vast games' field, and outdoor learning classroom creating an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for their youngest children.

The school is a member of an Education Trust which is an expanding multi-academy trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools.

The Role

They are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their School as soon as possible. This permanent role will support the professional work of teachers as directed.

Skills and Qualifications

* Have GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Mathematics, previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment and have Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.

* Be committed to the school's high standards of teaching, learning and professional development.

* Have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour.

* Understand the importance of an inclusive environment and high expectations on pupil behaviour.

* Have a welcoming and friendly approach with a high level of professionalism.

* Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils in adherence with the school procedures while in play areas, the dining hall, classrooms or anywhere on the school site.
