Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join an SEN provision within a mainstream school in Acton, West London. You will work closely with pupils needing additional support, helping them engage with learning, build confidence and reach their potential in a nurturing environment.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting teachers, promoting positive behaviour and adapting help to individual needs, all within a caring school community committed to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN preferred.
• Patient, empathetic and enthusiastic approach to support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
• Support pupils with academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Help manage behaviour positively and encourage emotional regulation.
• Adapt support to meet individual pupils' needs.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive relationships.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
