Overview

SEN Teaching Assistant for Nurture Room. Salary/Rate: £92–£95 per day. Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a mainstream school, supporting pupils with varied Special Educational Needs. The role will include supporting children within the Nurture Room and ensuring they receive all assistance required. The role is to start asap and will be long term.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils within the Nurture Room and assist with their individual needs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and assessments as required.
  • Provide support to pupils with SEN and adapt approaches to meet diverse needs.
  • Consider candidates with a care background who are able to support learners with sensory needs.
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. Level 4 or above TA qualifications or a teaching qualification).
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have previous experience of working with children within the last 2 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience from EYFS through to KS5.
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Two references working with children.
  • Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
