Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant at a specialist school in Reigate to support children and young people with severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities. We offer flexible day-to-day supply shifts or long-term contracts in a warm, collaborative environment.

You will work with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with mobility and personal care, and help pupils engage in sensory activities and

Qualifications

• 3–6 months direct SEN pupil experience or transferable care/healthcare experience.
• Understanding of autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and/or complex physical disabilities.
• DBS Enhanced Check on Update Service or willingness to process one.
• Full driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and developmental support.
• Assist with physical accessibility, mobility and personal care needs.
• Support emotional regulation and encourage independence.
• Engage pupils in sensory activities, communication exercises and inclusive learning tasks.
