Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join Hazel Cottage School in St Helens. You’ll support pupils with additional needs in a nurturing, engaging environment, helping them grow academically, socially and emotionally.

This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week, a salary of £22,160.62 per annum, and starts September 2026. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists, contributing to an inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as TA in SEN setting.
• Caring and adaptable with positivity.
• Good communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ learning and personal development in creative ways.
• Prepare and help deliver lessons that spark curiosity.
• Provide emotional and practical support to help achieve goals.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Get involved in outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and community experiences.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to tailor support to individual needs.
