Job Description:

We are currently looking for Special School Teaching Assistants to support multiple schools across the area. We have a variety of opportunities available, including:

  • Day-to-day assignments: Perfect for gaining experience and maintaining flexibility.
  • Long-term placements: Ideal for those seeking stability and consistent work.
  • Temp-to-perm roles: For candidates looking to secure a permanent position after an initial supply period.

Requirements
  • Own transport to travel between schools, maximizing your opportunities.
  • Commitment to full-time work, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, to provide the continuity and stability special school students require.
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with children in the UK, preferably with students with additional learning needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, ensuring students engage fully with the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and staff to monitor progress and implement strategies for student success.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.
