Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Bamber Bridge
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs? A supportive and inclusive school in Bamber Bridge is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding role where you will support children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and severe Special Educational Needs (SEN) throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with PMLD and severe SEN in their everyday school activities and lessons.
  • Provide personal care to pupils as required.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to deliver a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt to work across all year groups, from Early Years through to Key Stage 4.
  • Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of pupils.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in childcare, support work, or a similar setting is desirable.
  • Comfortable working with children with a range of complex needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to starting the role.
