Job summary

GSL Education in Poole is hiring a SEN Teaching Assistant to support autistic and ASC pupils in a nurturing primary environment. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with hours roughly 8:45am to 3:15pm, starting ASAP for the right candidate.

You will work 1-1 and in small groups, supporting the class teacher and encouraging pupil learning through patient guidance and inclusive activities across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience working or supporting special needs is desirable.
• Ability to support pupils 1-1 and in small groups.
• Strong communication with teachers and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support a class teacher and promote pupil engagement in lessons.
• Encourage learning and interaction among pupils.
• Create a caring and encouraging learning environment.
• Assist with SEN pupils' needs during activities.
• Work on activities conducted inside and outside school premises.
