Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join a school in Guildford on a day-to-day basis or long-term contract until the end of the academic year, with a possibility of switching to a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will work alongside students with autism and complex disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, supporting learning in a nurturing classroom setting from 9:30 to 3:30.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• DBS check for child and adult workforce (update service preferred).
• 3-6 months of experience with children or young people, SEN preferred.
• Proactive, patient and emotionally resilient with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism and complex disabilities.
• Assist with non-verbal communication and learning activities.
• Work within a teaching team to maintain a supportive learning environment.
