Job Description:
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis until July. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, assisting students with special educational needs and helping them to achieve their best in a nurturing and inclusive school setting.
The Role:
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans and provide tailored support.
- Assisting with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, promoting inclusion and well-being.
- Helping to create and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages all children to thrive.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
- Supporting the preparation of teaching resources and adapting materials to suit the needs of SEN students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN strategies and how to implement them effectively in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in supporting students with a range of needs.
- Passionate about making a positive impact on the educational experience of SEN students.
