SEN Teaching Assistant / ABA Therapist (Part-Time - Pudsey, Leeds)
Support an autistic young adult's journey toward independence
We're seeking a compassionate and motivated part-time SEN Teaching Assistant / ABA Therapist to support an 18-year-old autistic young man with learning disabilities in Pudsey, Leeds. This role is part of a long-standing, home-based education program combining therapy and practical life skills.
No experience required - full professional training provided in ABA, Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, and more.
• Pay: £15-£18 per hour
• Type: Part-time, self-employed
• Schedule:
- Mon: 2-7pm
- Tue: 3-7pm
- Thu: 2-7pm
- Sat: 10am-2pm
- Alternate Sundays: 11am-6pm
• Location: Pudsey (free on-site parking)
• Start: ASAP (ongoing support and training provided)
• Assist in delivering a mix of therapies: ABA, VB, Speech, OT, sensory work
• Support communication, learning, and emotional regulation
• Participate in outdoor activities like swimming, biking, and rock climbing
• Be a trusted companion and guide, helping him develop independence and confidence
Essential:
• Passionate about autism and SEN support
• Calm, patient, focused, and open to learning
• Able to commute reliably to Pudsey
• Positive attitude toward feedback and teamwork
Desirable:
• Experience in ABA/VB, SEN education, or autism care
• Familiarity with speech/occupational therapy techniques
• Driving licence and access to a car
• Training from expert therapists
• Weekly team support sessions
• Valuable, hands-on experience in autism intervention
