Job Description:

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with an EHCP at St Anne's Catholic Primary School. The position is fixed-term until 31.08., with potential for extension. The role involves supporting a child with additional needs, including experience working with children with Autism is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs, including cognition, learning, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis and support small groups with complex needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in developing and implementing educational plans.
  • Ensure children's safety and promote positive relationships.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness and reflect on practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
