Job Title: SEN Classroom Assistant

Location: Worthing

School: SEN Primary & Secondary

Salary: 81.75 daily

Contract: Full Time & Part Time available

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with complex needs? Do you have the skills and dedication to support their learning and development? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Our school are dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for children with complex needs. They believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

As a SEN Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to support students with a range of complex needs, including but not limited to autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one support to students, assisting them with their learning and personal development.
• Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Supporting students with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility assistance.
• Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the teaching team.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.

Must have:

• Ability to work well independently and as a team
• Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
• A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
• Resilience to deal with challenging situations
