A Special Needs School located in Witney are looking for a caring and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team of staff on a full-time basis starting in September. The school supports children with various additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, those with lower cognitive abilities and complex learning needs. Therefore, if you are patient, understanding and up for a challenge then you will be perfect for this role.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, whilst providing one to one support for the students. You will help run exciting lessons to help make the classroom a fun and happy learning environment. You will also help manage any challenging behaviour that occurs, and encourage all students to make positive choices.

Experience working with children or vulnerable adults would be really helpful. This could be professional or personal experience, such as having a family member with additional needs. A relevant degree, such as Psychology or Criminology, would also be desirable. However, passion and enthusiasm come first!
