In 2019, the school was the winner of the Positive Behaviour Support Award at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.
Students at the school may have speech and language delays, impairments or disorders, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, and/or moderate to severe learning difficulties. Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support both students and tutors, ensuring their learning needs are met with a positive attitude. You will work with students to help them discover their potential. The curriculum includes outdoor learning, drama, and music, among other activities.
Knowledge of SEN, including autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), is essential. The head teacher seeks a confident individual who can show maturity and positivity. You should be friendly and trustworthy to build strong relationships with students and staff.
