SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton

Location: Sutton, London

Pay Rate: £85 – £96 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time / Long‑term

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive school in Sutton. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them progress academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with various SEN needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging, well‑structured, and differentiated lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional well‑being.
  • Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual student needs.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting SEN learners (school, youth work, care, or similar).
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
