Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs in local schools. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 3:30pm, with pay rate £14.25-£16.68 per hour.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assist teachers with engaging activities, and help create a safe, inclusive environment while developing pupils' social, emotional and academic skills. DBS on Update Service is preferred or applicants ready to apply.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEN, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
• Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Be patient, empathetic and adaptable.
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.

We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient individuals who can provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.

The Role
