SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Southport

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay: £90-£100 per day

Hours: 8:30am- 15:30pm

Are you looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant role?

Veritas Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding SEN College specializing in ASD. We are seeking candidates with an interest or experience in working with SEN students. The ideal candidate can connect with students through their interests and serve as a strong role model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff.
• Manage behaviour confidently using de-escalation strategies.
• Support students' learning with a good understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Maintain an optimistic outlook and determination to improve children's education.

Application Requirements:

• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any employment gaps.
