The Role

We are looking for a caring and dynamic Teaching Assistant to work with students who have a range of special educational needs. If you are a proactive and empathetic person who is eager to support an inclusive learning community, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will work closely with teachers and staff, providing personalised support to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted support to students on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt and deliver engaging lessons for all students.
  • Foster a positive and calm classroom atmosphere where students feel secure and motivated.
  • Assist with the holistic development of students, including their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Customize learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
  • Provide general supervision and well-being support to students throughout the school day.
About You
  • You have experience working with children or young people, with a preference for prior work in an SEN setting.
  • You are patient, empathetic, and possess a genuinely caring nature.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
